BreastScreen – More Than Just A Free Mammogram

Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) is providing a fantastic opportunity for GPs, Practice Nurses and Allied Health Professionals to attend a workshop with two leading breast cancer experts. You will learn about the value of regular breast screening, assessment processes, the diagnosis of breast cancer and the importance of the role of the GP.


Cannabis use disorder, withdrawal management and medicinal cannabis

Hornsby & Ku-ring-gai Local Coordinated Networks – Building your Healthcare Neighbourhood

This event will provide an opportunity to network with providers and consumers from the Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai area, to share resources relating to local services, and to hear about ways that the Primary Health Network, Local Health District and eHealth NSW are enabling better communication and collaboration between providers. The event will also provide an opportunity for attendees to suggest and explore ways to improve connectivity between providers, managers and consumers from health and social care services across the Hornsby/Ku-ring-gai region.

My Health Record Opt-out starts 16 July 2018 – Workshop for Pharmacists

This workshop will introduce the My Health Record systems to Pharmacists in preparation for the Opt-out period. It will explore the systems’ features, functionalities, benefits and uses, as they relate to pharmacy, clinical workflow and consumers. The My Health Record opt-out period is for three (3) months commencing 16 July 2018. Every Australian will then get a My Health Record, unless they choose not to.

Aboriginal Cultural Education Program

SYNOPSIS:

Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) invites local GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Practice Managers and Practice staff to a workshop to develop and apply understanding of Aboriginal cultures to improve service and program outcomes. This workshop also includes pre-course work including completion of two online assessments.
All practices registered for the Indigenous Health Incentive (IHI) PIP are required to participate in cultural awareness training within one year of registering.


Preventing falls in older people: GP practice fall risk identification and tailored management
