The Way Back NSW
The Way Back NSW is a tailored aftercare support service for people who are experiencing a suicidal crisis or have made a suicide attempt. The service provides non-clinical, tailored, psychosocial support to reduce distress. They also build connections in the individual’s community during the period when they are most at risk of re-attempting.

*Please note, people who are experiencing suicidal ideation or at risk of self-harm can access the Suicide Referral Pathway under Psychological Services for Underserviced Groups.
Eligibility
The Way Back NSW provides aftercare to people who have entered a hospital emergency department or Community Mental Health Service following a suicide attempt or who are experiencing a suicidal crisis. Any person who lives, works, or studies in the Sydney North Health Network region can access this service.
How to access the services
Referrals can be made through the hospital or Community Mental Health Services, or by a General Practitioner. Call 1300 000 125.
GPs or psychiatrists can also refer patients via Mental Health Triage.
