SYNOPSIS:
The Mental Health Assessment and Management workshop is a two day workshop that aims to develop skills in comprehensive mental health assessment, management planning and review processes, derived from the person’s experiences of illness, and is based on a recovery-focused model. It provides a context for mental health practice in Australia and an overview of patient barriers to accessing mental health services. Participants benefit from an interactive experience with experts from psychiatry, general practice, trauma-focused care and addiction medicine, along with shared perspectives from Carer and Consumer representatives.
