Otitis Media Management Program

Otitis media is inflammation of the middle ear or a middle ear infection. This program is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required for professionals, particularly those working in Indigenous health, to safely assess the aural health of individuals and implement best practice management guidelines.
Please note – this program does not include competencies relating to ear syringing/irrigation or wax removal.

Course in Tympanometry

The Course in Tympanometry is designed to provide skills and knowledge for health professionals and others working within Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health to undertake tympanometric screening and tympanometry.
At the successful completion of this course, students should:
- Be able to perform tympanometric screening
- Understand the results
- Recognise abnormalities and refer
- Provide the patient a comprehensive explanation of the findings and document.
