Learning outcomes
By the end of the Forum, participants will be able to:
• discuss population-based screening benefits and promote
participation with their patients
• provide culturally-safe care by accessing and utilising Cancer Institute NSW in-language resources for CALD patients diagnosed with cancer
• deliver smoking cessation brief interventions and support
(e.g. pharmacotherapy and Quitline)
• access evidence-based pathways to improve cancer outcomes
for patients from CALD backgrounds
• commit to referring patients diagnosed with cancer to
multidisciplinary teams using Canrefer, and promoting eviQ
(evidence-based cancer information for patients).
