SYNOPSIS:
Did you know? There are over 77,000 people living with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) in NSW, and only an estimated 18.5% are engaged in care. Without access to appropriate care, 1 in 4 people living with CHB will die from a liver related illness.
As rates of hepatitis B increase over the next 10 years there is a need for primary care practitioners, particularly those with patients from priority populations such as CALD backgrounds, to screen.
