As part of Hello Hornsby, Hornsby Shire Council's innovative project connecting seniors with our community, and The Village Hub, we are pleased to invite Seniors aged 55+ *(Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People aged 50+) to join us on The Riverboat Postman Tour for a wonderful day out.
The Riverboat Postman Tour is a 3 hour trip along the Hawkesbury River, starting and ending in Brooklyn. It runs from 10am-1pm and is easily accessible by train with Hawkesbury River Station adjacent to the Wharf. For anyone wishing to travel by train as a group, Council Staff will travel via Hornsby Station up to Brooklyn – feel free to join them. Details will be sent to all ticket holders.
The trip includes a beautiful and relaxing trip along the river while delivering mail and other essential items to the settlements upstream from Brooklyn. There will be plenty of stories shared and fun to be had.
The Riverboat Postman Tour includes morning tea at departure and a Ploughman’s-style lunch at midday. Common dietary requirements can be catered for.
Cost – FREE. Tickets are limited and bookings are essential.
Gentle Reminder – Due to popularity and demand, tickets are not available to those who attended previous trips on The Riverboat Postman as part of Hello Hornsby.
