Face to Face: Working with People with Personality Disorders

Guest speaker Clinical Associate Professor Neil Jeyasingam, Psychogeriatrician offers participants the opportunity to further develop skills in assiting those living with personality disorders.

Topics to be covered include:

– What is a personality disorder?
– Borderline Personality Disorder: Current state of the research
– Accommodating a Personality Disorder
– Treating a Personality Disorder

This education seminar will be followed by a networking lunch, providing opportunities for you to connect with other clinicians in our region.

SPEAKERS:

Clinical Associate Professor Neil Jeyasingam

Neil is a Psychogeriatrician and research scholar of the Institute of Psychiatry in Sydney and the UK. He has a double masters in Psychiatry and Business (Health Administration) and has published extensively in the fields of personality disorders, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. A/Professor Jeyasingam has held several prestigious positions, including the Area Clinical Director for the largest mental health service in New South Wales, and he currently sits on the Committee for Evidence Based Medicine with the College of Psychiatry. In his private practice, he provides psychotherapy supervision to psychologists and psychiatry registrars.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

General Practitioners and Psychologists working in the Sydney North Health Network region.

COST:
There is no cost for Practices and their staff within the SNHN region to attend this training
