Face to face: Shared Antenatal Care all day Workshop

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites local GPs to an interactive day of Shared Antenatal Care education. This training will include two morning sessions addressing neonatal checks and lactation problems. The afternoon sessions will include revision of basic skills in antenatal examinations, preterm prevention program and panel discussions on recurrent miscarriage, hyperemesis gravidarum and PUQE guidelines.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Local General Practitioners practicing in the Northern Sydney Region or referring to hospitals in SNHN region

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Perform antenatal examinations appropriate for stage of pregnancy
  • Implement current antenatal management guidelines for antenatal care in accordance with NHMRC Antenatal Guidelines
  • Demonstrate competency in performing neonatal examination and appropriate referral pathways
  • Reflect on the opportunities available to educate and reassure parents whilst performing a Newborn Baby check
COST:
No cost for GPs practising within the SNHN region or referring patients to hospitals in SNHN region
