Dementia Quality Improvement Program 2022: Managing Dementia in the time of COVID

Sydney North Health Network would like to invite all General Practice staff enrolled in the Dementia Quality Improvement Program, as well as any GP, Nurse, Practice Staff, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals with an interest in dementia management to the launch activity for the 2022 Dementia Quality Improvement Program. This activity will include a discussion on the impact of COVID on patients suffering cognitive impairment and dementia. We will consider strategies to enhance patient care and health outcomes and identify practical quality improvement opportunities for your practice.

Dinner and registration will be available from 6.30pm, the workshop will run from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

SPEAKERS:

Prof. Dimity Pond, General Practitioner
Dimity Pond is Professor of General Practice at the University of Newcastle. She conducts research in the area of mental health and particularly dementia, focusing mainly on GP identification and management of this. She has secured over $12million in research funds and has published over 150 papers in peer reviewed journals. Dimity also works in clinical practice in Berowra, on the outskirts of Sydney.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

All General Practice staff enrolled in the Dementia Quality Improvement Program, as well as any GP, Nurse, Practice Staff, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals with an interest in dementia management
