CPR WORKSHOP – HLTAID009 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invite local GPs, Practice Nurses, Practice staff, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals to a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) workshop.  This workshop consists of 2 hours face-to-face training plus a short multiple choice online learning module to be completed prior to attending the face-to-face training.  It will be delivered by ReVIVA First Aid and Resuscitation Training as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) – RTO # 90176.  As such, you will be required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Create or check your USI at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi

IMPORTANT NOTE: A mandatory requirement for the practical assessment is to perform a minimum of two minutes of continuous CPR kneeling alongside an adult manikin placed on the floor. Please inform SNHN prior to your enrolment if you are unable to undertake this physical requirement (events@snhn.org.au)

SPEAKERS:

Training delivered by ReVIVA First Aid Training

TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs, Practice Nurses, general practice staff, Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacists practicising within SNHN region.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Assess a scene using the D.R.S.A.B.C.D protocol
  • Identify the differences in resuscitation technique with infants, children and third trimester pregnant casualties
  • Identify airway management techniques with vomiting/regurgitating casualties during resuscitation
  • Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) techniques
  • Identify the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
COST:
$70 p.p. (plus GST) for members. CPR Training is open to GPs, Practice Nurses, Practice support staff , Allied Health Professionals & Pharmacists who are an SNHN member (SNHN membership is free of charge).
