Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) is a NFP organisation who delivers the Northern Sydney Primary Health Network. We are seeking an experienced individual to fulfil the new role of Education Coordinator, Ageing and Palliative Care, this role sits within our Partnerships and Innovation Team and reports to the Coordination and Integration Manager for Ageing and Palliative Care. The purpose of this role is predominantly to deliver educational initiatives from the Greater Choice for Palliative Care At Home project, and at times, provide educational support to our healthy ageing projects. The Education Coordinator role will be contracted to 30 June 2025, inclusive of the option of salary packaging and flexible working arrangements.
Key external stakeholders you will be working with include residential aged care homes, general practitioners, nurses, carers and the community, as well as other relevant organisations. You will be tasked with designing and delivering training packages about palliative and end-of-life-care, taking a compassionate communities approach to build capacity amongst the workforce and community alike. Our preferred candidate will have a proven passion for promoting death literacy, and superb facilitation and communication skills, as well as relevant demonstrated experience relating to the role.
We are seeking a creative minded individual, that can make the most of available technology and contemporary adult education methods. You will need to be able to apply this to a diverse range of adults, with varying backgrounds of education, your pitch and educational content will need to be different and relevant to each cohort.
