Allied Health Engagement
Allied health professionals provide a broad range of services across the aged care, mental health, disability and health sectors, to improve the health and wellbeing of people and communities.
The Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) Allied Health Engagement Strategy recognises the diversity and vital role of allied health professionals in driving and strengthening primary healthcare. Download the SNHN Allied Health Engagement Strategy.
Our work in defining the scope and role of primary health networks in engaging with allied health services to achieve the goals of Australia’s Primary Health Care 10 Year Plan 2022-2032 is informed by the National PHN Allied Health in Primary Care Engagement Framework.
Here are some of the ways we work alongside and support allied health professionals in our region.
Advisory Groups
With multidisciplinary representation on our Clinical Governance Committee, Clinical Council and Education Advisory Committee, we welcome feedback on the strategy and how allied health services and multidisciplinary care can be enhanced. An Allied Health Reference Group meets quarterly to help guide the implementation of the SNHN Allied Health Engagement Strategy.
Digital Health
Our Digital Health Team can assist in setting health professionals up with digital solutions such as provider access to the My Health Record, secure messaging, electronic prescribing, or healthdirect Video Call for telehealth. Learn more about digital health technologies.
