Menopause – Symptoms, Treatment and Mythbusting Information on the NSLHD Menopause Hub

NSLHD is designated as a Menopause Hub as part of the statewide program to increase access to services for women with severe/ complex symptoms associated with menopause.

This session will provide education on menopause symptoms and treatment options including hormonal, non-hormonal and lifestyle intervention options. This will include dispelling some myths around menopause and management of symptoms.

There will also be an overview of the Menopause Hub, how to obtain advice for managing patients, how to refer severe/complex patients and a Q&A session.

This session will be delivered by Prof Rod Baber and clinicians from the NSLHD Menopause Hub

TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals working in the Northern Sydney region.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Evaluate and compare the most current treatment options for menopause symptoms, considering their efficacy and potential side effects
  • Determine the severity and complexity of menopause symptoms, and develop appropriate treatment pathways
  • Review lifestyle and other interventions to create comprehensive management plans for menopause symptoms
COST:
There is no cost for Practices and their staff within the SNHN region to attend this training
