Wound Innovations is pleased to deliver the Full Fundamentals of Wound Management Education Program for nurses and care staff working in residential aged care facilities in the region of Northern Sydney.

The Wound Innovations face-to-face education program aims to increase staff knowledge, improve outcomes for residents with wounds, and promote organisational strategies for wound prevention.

The workshop is designed to upskill nursing staff in evidence-based wound care with topics including:

• Understanding the physiology or normal wound repair
• Recognising the physiological difference between acute and chronic wounds
• Identifying principles required to perform a holistic wound assessment
• Identifying factors that may affect wound healing
• Identifying a broad range of evidence based wound treatment options based on the principles of wound assessment
• Recognising when and where to refer patients to maximise wound healing

Morning tea and lunch provided. Upon completion of the workshop, certificates will be issued outlining the course content and learning outcomes. This face-to-face workshop is equivalent to 8 continuing professional development (CPD) hours.
