GP Psychiatry Helpline

Description of Services

The GP Psychiatry Support line is a free service that helps GPs manage the care of mental health consumers. The service provides direct access to a psychiatrist who can provide advice with regard to:

  • Diagnosis
  • Medication
  • Investigation
  • Safety plan

Service Availability

Monday- Friday (except public holidays)

7am- 7pm (AEST – Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Or GPs can book a session time at gpsupport.org.au.

How to access the services

This service is accessible to Australian-based GPs.

To use this free service, please register at gpsupport.org.au or call 1800 16 17 18.
