ATAGI statement on the Administration of Seasonal Influenza Vaccines in 2026

Annual vaccination remains the most important measure to prevent influenza and its complications and is recommended for all people aged 6 months of age and over.

The statement includes details of all seasonal vaccines registered and available in use in Australia in 2026 by age and lists the influenza vaccines that are available on the National Immunisation Program (NIP) for certain age groups, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, pregnant women, and people with certain medical conditions.
