Why age matters when it comes to Bowel Cancer

Once people turn 50 their risk of being diagnosed with bowel cancer increases significantly, as new data from the Cancer Institute NSW show. “In your 50s you are more than twice as likely to be diagnosed with bowel cancer than in your 40s, and about three times as likely to die from it,” says Professor David Currow, Chief Cancer Officer and CEO of the Cancer Institute NSW.
