SNHN and NSLHD Digital Health Primary Care Reference Group

Digital Health and Northern Sydney

Digital health is designed to electronically record, support and connect points of care so that consistent health information can be shared easily and securely.

The SNHN and NSLHD are working together across multiple projects to build a sustainable, mature digital health infrastructure in Northern Sydney.

The Reference Group

The SNHN and NSLHD are seeking GPs, Practice nurses and Practice managers with an interest in digital health technologies to participate in an ongoing reference group for consultation and feedback. This group will meet 2 to 3 times per year.

The group will provide guidance on which current opportunities could be prioritised, such as: electronic discharge summaries, communications between specialist and GPs, hospital admission alerts and  sharing registers of chronic or frequent patients. Or which opportunities and solutions could be developed: such as secure messaging, e-Referrals and shared care planning tools.

It is envisaged that this group will meet once before the end of the year for approximately 2 hrs duration. All participants involved in the consultation group for digital health solutions will be remunerated for their time.
