The Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) has recently updated the way Discharge Summaries are delivered to General Practitioners. Previously, summaries were sent via Argus, however, they will now be delivered electronically directly to your desktop clinical software via GP Messaging providers (Argus, HealthLink, Medical Objects).
Please continue to check your inbox for any Discharge Summaries as they will appear there, along with any other secure messages you currently receive (e.g. Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging results.)
Hospital Discharge Summaries will be sent directly to a single General Practitioner, nominated by the patient when they present to hospital. Note: this may not necessarily be the referring General Practitioner.
If you are planning to move practices, please ensure you notify your secure messaging provider, in addition to your SNPHN Practice Support Coordinator to ensure that NSLHD has your most up to date contact details.
