SNPHN is seeking suitably qualified and experienced organisations to apply to deliver new Psychosocial Support Services in the Northern Sydney region through a Request for Proposal process, with services to commence from January 2019.
Aims of Psychosocial Support Services for people with severe mental illness:
- To support people with severe mental illness who have an associated level of reduced psychosocial functional capacity who are not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- To provide non-clinical services to help these people achieve their recovery goals, such as services to assist with developing social skills, maintaining stable housing and maintaining physical wellbeing
- To improve overall mental health outcomes and equity in service availability for this cohort
