The RACGP, in collaboration with NSW Health, invites GPs in the Northern Sydney region (only) to a free upcoming HIV and STI evening training session.
This training will:
– Utilise a clinical decision making tool to quickly and safely prescribe PrEP in accordance with the ASHM HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) Clinical Guidelines
– Integrate regular STI and HIV testing as part of a PrEP consultation
– Determine appropriate care of a patient with an STI in accordance with the Australian STI Management Guidelines for Primary Care
– Identify referral pathways for more complex PrEP patient presentations including positive HIV results
