NSW Sexual & Reproductive Health in Primary Health

This two-part online course aims to provide practitioners with an overview of sexual and reproductive health care in general practice, covering sexual health, sexual history taking, STI screening, contraception and unintended pregnancy.

This training also discusses how STI screening can be integrated into contraception and unintended pregnancy consultations.

Learning outcomes:

  • Describe the components of sexual health
  • Implement effective sexual history taking
  • Integrate evidence based STI screening into practice
  • Define current contraceptive options and their relevant counselling points
  • Demonstrate an approach to unplanned pregnancy including counselling and discussion of options

Part 1: Saturday, April 06th, 2024. 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (AEST)

Part 2: Saturday, April 13th, 2024. 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (AEST)

Please note that full attendance of both parts of the course is required for accreditation points and a statement of attendance to be issued.
