Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service (NSHNS) Continence Nurse Advisors provide a clinic based service to assist adults with bladder and bowel management issues. The clinic provides first line assessment along with conservative management of:
- Stress Urinary Incontinence
- Overactive Bladder Syndrome
- Nocturia and Nocturnal Enuresis.
- Chronic constipation
- Faecal incontinence and chronic diarrhoea
- Assistance with accessing funding for continence needs
Individuals can self-refer (without GP referral)
Persons under 16 years of age will only be seen with GP / SMO referral
Initial assessment requires a 2 hour attendance by the person.
The NSHNS Continence Clinic is a supportive, confidential and free service to assist and improve the lives of persons living with incontinence.
