Northern Beaches Hospital to open late October

The new Northern Beaches Hospital will welcome its first patients on Tuesday 30 October as part of a new network of healthcare services on the Northern Beaches. The nine-storey hospital at Frenchs Forest will provide 488 inpatient beds and a 50-space emergency department.

When the new hospital opens on 30 October, Manly Hospital will close and all services will transfer to the new facility.

All emergency services on the Northern Beaches will be provided at the new hospital from 7.00 am on Tuesday 30 October 2018.

Mona Vale Hospital’s acute services, such as surgery and maternity, will transfer to the new Northern Beaches Hospital the following day on Wednesday 31 October 2018.

Mona Vale Hospital will continue to offer aged care and rehabilitation services, community health and palliative care. A new Urgent Care Centre will operate 24 hours a day for the treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
