A Welcome to 2016 from CEO Lynelle Hales

Lynelle HalesHappy New Year to our program partners, health service providers and health professionals in Sydney’s North. We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with your families and had a chance for some R&R.

2016 is shaping up to a big year for SNHN. After a brief holiday break, it was back to work and we are currently finalising our Operational Plan which will be implemented this year. This plan is informed by the Strategic Plan, which highlights our four areas of focus and was presented at our launch event in December.

Our newly formed Clinical and Community Councils had their first meeting in the week before Christmas. It was wonderful to meet the representative clinicians and community members who will work with SNHN to help realise our corporate vision to: Achieving together – better health, better care.  One of their first pieces of work is to input into the PHN’s Needs Assessment, which involves an analysis and review of health services and the local population health needs.

On behalf of the SNHN Board and staff, I would like to warmly welcome our Clinical and Community Council members and we look forward to working with you.

General Practices in the Sydney North region are currently being offered a free license and installation of the new CAT Plus license. There are many benefits to having a CAT Plus license so please see our story in GP News or contact a member of the Primary Care Advancement and Integration Team on 9432 8250 to find out more.

Our newly launched website is a wonderful resource for everyone. It provides up to date health news that we produce and source from local health service providers, the local health district, the Government, public health unit and other important sources. It is the place to get all your information.  We also have a growing Resource Centre where you can find ATAPS referral forms and the latest information on Immunisation (there have been a few changes effective 1 January). So please stop by and take a look at the new look SNHN website.
