Event for carers and family members caring for an older person

Kur-in-gai Council is holding an evening event that offers practical solutions and information to people who are caring for an older person. The evening includes 3 high profile speakers followed by a panel discussion. The panel will include some people who are in the caring role.

Date: Monday 30 November
Time: 6.30 – 8.30pm
Venue: Ku-ring-gai Council Chambers, Level 3, 818 Pacific Highway, Gordon (enter via Radford Lane)
Light supper provided from 6pm

Practices are invited to print a copy of the flyer for inclusion in their practice.

Federal Government’s ever-popular Volunteer Grants program has reopened

Small community organisations can now apply for grants of up to $5,000 to purchase small equipment to assist their volunteers, reimburse fuel and transport costs for volunteers, and contribute towards the cost of training courses and background screening checks for volunteers.

Applications are open until 2pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, with grants expected to be paid by 30 June 2016.
