DESCRIPTION: Sydney North Health Network (SNHN), Health Scope and Manly Warringah Division of General Practice invite GPs and staff on the Northern Beaches and surrounds to receive the latest information on the new Northern Beaches Hospital in Frenchs Forest, including the Medical Centre to be located on site. Learn about current vascular surgical conditions and the range of vascular services that can be provided through new infrastructure in Northern Beaches Hospital.
AUDIENCE: GPs, PNs & Practice Staff in the northern beaches and surrounds.
SPEAKERS: Deborah Latta, David Hoy and Rob Mooney, Healthscope (Northern Beaches Hospital Update); Dr Shen Wong, Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon. Dr Wong has an interest in minimally invasive vascular surgical techniques. Dr Wong holds appointments at Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and SAN Hospitals, and treats all aspects of vascular disease. He consults at Frenchs Forest and St Leonards.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Understand on the range of services to be available at Northern Beaches Hospital; Update knowledge on current management of common vascular surgical conditions; Update knowledge on the emerging trends and technologies in vascular surgical treatment; Provide an overview of the range of vascular services that can be provided through new infrastructure in Northern Beaches Hospital.
