New Cancer Screening Register

The National Cancer Screening Register will become an integral part of the service delivery of cancer screening. It will provide the infrastructure for the recording and reporting of the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program and the National Cervical Screening Program.

The Register was due to commence in May this year, however due to the complexity of migrating data from each state and territory from the registers to one Register, this has been delayed. The Register is now due to commence 1 December 2017.

There will be changes to the National Cervical Screening Program as of 1 December 2017 and the change details and other relevant information on Cervical screening can be found here.
