National Advance Care Planning Week April 16-22

Advance Care Planning Australia (ACPA) is funded by the Australian Government under the National Palliative Care Projects to increase national awareness and uptake of advance care planning through promotion and capacity building across Australia.

Between 16-22 April, ACPA will be running Australia’s first National Advance Care Planning Week to encourage all Australians to discuss their values and healthcare preferences with their family, friends and healthcare team. So far around 65 healthcare and community groups across Australia have registered to host an event to start the conversation.

The ACPA website also contains education options and resources for the primary care workforce to promote, initiate and continue discussions regarding future health preferences in routine care.
