This topic takes you into the world of apps, or Applications, the little amazing programs that can help you do almost anything. Find out what apps are and how to find them using the App Store and Google Play Store.

You will learn:

What is an app?

In this course, we take a look at what apps do, why we need them, which apps need the internet access, and which ones can work happily without it. We also learn how to stay safe when downloading and using apps.

Getting apps

With more than five million apps available, it's easier than you might think to find what you are looking for. In this course, we find out how to search for and find different types of apps using the App Store (for Apple devices) and the Google Play Store (for Android devices). We also learn how ratings and reviews help you select the best app for your needs and budget.

Managing and deleting apps

What do you do if your app isn't working properly? In this course, we find out how you can close or delete a misbehaving app, the importance of keeping apps up to date, and how to control how much mobile data your apps are using.
