Getting started on your iPhone is easier than you may think. This topic shows you how to set up and customise your iPhone with helpful step-by-step videos and a fun interactive guide that shows you all the features you need to know about.

In this course, you will learn:

Prepare to set up your iPhone

This course is for anyone who has been given a pre-owned iPhone. This step-by-step guide shows you how to delete the previous owner’s settings so you can safely set up your iPhone for your own use. If you have a brand-new iPhone, you can skip this course and move on to the iPhone: Set up course.

Security and privacy

Now that your iPhone has been set up for you to use, it’s time to learn everything you need to know about its security and privacy features. You’ll learn how to set up a passcode or Touch ID to unlock your iPhone and other handy tips for keeping your iPhone safe and secure.

System settings

This course teaches you how to adjust your system settings so your iPhone works just the way you want it to. You’ll learn how to select a ringtone, customise your alerts, set your preferred language and more!

Notifications

Notifications are your iPhone’s way of letting you know you’ve received a new message, email or alert. This course teaches you how to control your notifications so you only receive notifications that are of interest to you. You’ll also learn how to control how often you receive notifications and how to delete them once you’ve read them.
