Healthdirect Video Call PHN update

In 2021 healthdirect will host a series of Video Call webinars to keep users up to date with platform developments, resources available and best practices.  It will be a forum for our PHN telehealth champions to stay informed, ask questions and interact with other PHNs about Video Call developments and use.

  2. Feedback on recent 1:1 sessions with PHNs on their use and experience of Video Call
  3. RACGP Training and Education for GPs and Practice Managers

  5. Question and Answer session

Essential Video Call training – 1 hour

2 CPD points for RACGP and 1 hour ACCRM credit

This module is for GPs new to Video Call and covers the basic functionality of the platform. The course will also suit Practice Managers who may be implementing telehealth into their practice workflows:

  • How to sign in and see your patient
  • How to invite your patient to a Video Call appointment
  • Basic call functions and tools

Advanced Video Call training – 1 hour

2 CPD points for RACGP and 1 hour ACCRM credit

This module covers more advanced use of the platform. The course will also suit Practice Managers and anyone interested in how Video Call can reshape the provision of services to patients or clients, for example through:

  • Multi party calls (e.g. for case conferencing)
  • Bringing in an interpreter to a call
  • Transferring callers between clinics
  • Use of Video Call tools to enhance the in-call experience for doctors and patients

Telehealth Mastery Training

Telehealth Mastery is a comprehensive telehealth course designed to help GPs upskill and develop a sustainable telehealth business. It is offered through both RACGP as an Accredited Activity with 40 CPD points and ACRRM with 6 PDP. The course is offered as a self-paced learning activity.

This course is run by Phenix Health, in partnership with healthdirect Video Call.
