This module is pitched at an introductory level and provides a theoretical framework for people who are already working in culturally responsive settings. It is for workers who are less familiar with the concept of cultural competence.
Cultural competence is about providing accessible, responsive, and inclusive services to people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. It is about valuing cultural and linguistic diversity and addressing the needs of different communities in all aspects of service planning, design, and delivery. For organisations, this means having systems, policies, and practices in place to support workers to engage more effectively with migrant and refugee populations.
This training is delivered through CEH Online (online learning portal). Training takes 30-40 minutes and can be completed at learner’s own pace.
