About the event

Now into its seventh year, the annual SNHN AGM will be held on 10 November 2022 at the Northside Conference Centre, Crows Nest. This symposium will also be livestreamed and run as an interactive webinar. 

 

The SNHN AGM and education evening is a well-regarded symposium, bringing together decision makers and people working in health and community services within the region. This year the evening will include face to face education for approximately 150 guests and a live stream for up to a further 500.

The Symposium will be facilitated by Dr Norman Swan, Health Journalist, Broadcaster and Commentator.

Dr Norman Swan is Australia’s most respected health journalist, broadcaster and commentator.

Norman hosts RN’s Health Report and since the COVID-19 pandemic, co-hosted Coronacast, a daily podcast on the coronavirus. Norman is also a reporter and commentator on the ABC’s 7.30, Midday, News Breakfast and Four Corners and a guest host on RN Breakfast.

He is a past winner of the Gold Walkley and has won other Walkleys including one in 2020. Norman was awarded the medal of the Australian Academy of Science and has an honorary MD from the University of Sydney.

He created Invisible Enemies, on pandemics and civilisation for Channel 4 UK and broadcast in 27 countries.

Norman trained in medicine and paediatrics in Aberdeen, London and Sydney before joining the ABC.

Terms and Conditions of Sponsorship

Termination and modification  

  • Sponsors acknowledge that aspects of this event may be modified at short notice or terminated by SNHN in its absolute discretion due to public health considerations, a low number of registrations or due to an unexpected speaker cancellation. 
  • SNHN may by notice, at any time and in its absolute discretion, terminate this agreement if it considers that the Sponsorship arrangement is no longer: 

– For reasons beyond its control, in the interests of SNHN or a funder of SNHN; or 

– in compliance with the requirements of the SNHN Sponsorship Promotion and Advertising Policy and Procedure. 

  

In the case of termination by SNHN under this clause, SNHN will endeavour to give as much notice as possible and provide reasons for termination. 

Disclosures and use of Personal Information
  • The Sponsor agrees to the publication by SNHN of information regarding this Agreement which may include the name and details of the Sponsor, including on a website controlled by SNHN. In addition, if SNHN is required by any government authority, under law, or pursuant to a court order to disclose specific information regarding this Agreement, the Organisation hereby consents to SNHN’s disclosure of the information so required.
  • The Sponsor acknowledges that SNHN will collect, hold, use and disclose any personal information received from the Sponsor under this Agreement. All personal information received by SNHN will always be handled in accordance with SNHN’s Privacy policy which is available on the SNHN website.  The Sponsor expressly consents to SNHN collecting, holding, using and disclosing any personal information received from the Sponsor in this manner and in accordance with SNHN’s Privacy policy. The Sponsor warrants that it shall obtain the prior written consent of each individual for the disclosure of their respective personal information to SNHN and shall notify such individuals that if the individual wants to access or rectify their personal information, they should contact .
