After Hours Stakeholder Network – Update on My Health Record

From mid-2018 the automatic creation of My Health Record for every Australian will begin. Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) invites local GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals to the After Hours Stakeholder Network on Digital Health. This event will help to update you on latest developments on the My Health Record including the benefits of using My Health Record both from a GPs perspective, the practice and the patient and how this has helped improve patient care and health outcomes. The evening will include a Q&A session.


Aboriginal Cultural Education Program

SYNOPSIS:

Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) invites local GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) information evening.
The NDIS will provide all Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to enjoy an ordinary life. As part of this scheme GPs and other health professionals may be asked to provide evidence to support a request to access the NDIS This event will give GPs and health professionals an overview of the NDIS and increase participants understanding of the scheme including the difference between the role of the NDIS and the health care system.

Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) invites local GPs and Primary Care Nurses to build skills in the quick interpretation of ECG tracing. The 12 lead Electrocardiogram ECG remains a cornerstone of cardiac assessment and is among the most commonly ordered tests in the Emergency Department (ED). The ECG can provide clues for a non-cardiac high risk diagnosis, which we cannot afford to miss in our practice. This session, provided by Emergency Specialist physician, Dr Pankaj Arora will provide an interactive update on ECG interpretation to assist review and improve assessment of significant cardiac and noncardiac conditions in general and Emergency practice.
