WEBINAR – Shared Antenatal Care Antenatal screening including NIPT, nuchal translucency and genetic carrier screening

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites General Practitioners  to a webinar and Q&A session aimed at increasing knowledge and awareness of prenatal screening for common chromosomal and genetic conditions. We will also cover SAC protocol and how to measure fundal height.

Dr Mizia is an Obstetrician Gynecologist and a recognised subspecialist in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound.  She is actively involved in the advancement, development of standards and, education in O&G ultrasound.

Dr Talat Uppal, MBBS, FRANZCOG, DDU, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, VMO Northern Beaches Hospital, VMO Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, Clinical Senior Lecturer, University of Sydney, RANZCOG media spokesperson.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

• Explain what first line screening tests for common aneuploidies  are available including sensitivity and limitations of each
• Assess and recognise when to expand NIPT testing
• Explain the current options for prenatal genetic carrier screening
