Northern Sydney Nurses (APNA) Network : Spirometry training

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) along with the Australian Practice Nurse Association (APNA) invites members of the Northern Sydney Primary Health Nurses Network to this networking meeting.

The meeting will provide a networking opportunity as well as presentations from Jamie McBride on the Basics of Spirometry for Practice Nurses and Melinda Gray on Paediatric Asthma Education Update for Practice Nurses.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Primary Health Practice Nurses

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Develop practical skills to recognise and perform high quality spirometry.
  • Understand interpretation and clinical implications of spirometry results, including differential diagnosis.
  • Provide practice nurse nurses with role specific education on evidence based paediatric asthma management.
  • Increase in confidence and skills in paediatric asthma management.
