My Health Record Medico-Legal workshop

This workshop will discuss the benefits, uses and functionalities of the My Health Record system for health care providers. It includes a presentation on the medico-legal aspects of digital health and how this relates to clinical workflow. The My Health Record opt-out period commenced on 16 July 2018 this is a timely opportunity to update your knowledge.

Speaker hosted by Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) and Medico-legal presentation by Karen Keogh, HWL Ebsworth Lawyers.

  • Apply practice policies and procedures with regard to regulatory compliance, consent, privacy, negligence and subpoenas
  • List the features and benefits of My Health Record system
  • Describe how to inform patients of the benefits of the My Health Record system
  • Describe the privacy and security measures taken to protect My Health Record and how to discuss privacy concerns
  • Describe how accessing My Health Record can contribute to patient care

There is no cost for GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Pharmacists and allied health professionals working within the SNPHN region
