Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites GPs & Primary Care Nurses, to participate in this 40 point ALM. This training is delivered by Cynergex, a provider of training in emergency prehospital management of medical emergencies.
Topics will include: Management of medical emergencies in General Practice, CPR and Advanced Airway Management, Emergency Drugs and Treatment Protocols.

RACGP CPD POINTS:
This activity has been allocated 40 category 1 points under the 2017-2019 RACGP QI&CPD Program

SPEAKERS:
  • Royce Webb, Cynergex National Training Manager, Diploma in Paramedical Sciences
    Royce is an experienced paramedic who delivers advanced life support training to medical and dental professionals nationwide. He has extensive knowledge of pre-hospital care in the management of major incidents and trauma.
TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs & Primary Care Nurses

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Identify the most common medical emergencies affecting patients, using a risk management approach
  • Manage the immediate care of medical emergencies utilizing a practice management (crew resource management) system
  • Apply techniques and protocols consistent with current emergency medical guidelines for pre-hospital care
  • Refer the patient to further appropriate care.
COST:
No cost for GPs and Primary Care Nurses practising within the SNPHN region
