Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital – Emergency Department Update & New Models of Care

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites local GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Pharmacists, Allied Health Professionals and Aged Care workers to the Emergency Care in the Hospital and the Community workshop. Topics will include access to services, the role of the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), communication pathway – what the ED can and cannot offer.  It will also include an update on the Geriatric Rapid Acute Care evaluation (GRACE) model and the secure messaging clinical handover project from NSW Ambulance to GPs.

  • Recognise what services are available through the Emergency Department
  • Implement and optimise referral pathways
  • Explain the role of the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)
  • Utilise secure messaging software in clinical handovers from Ambulance NSW
COST:
There is no cost to attend this training for GPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists, Allied Health Professionals and their staff practising within the SNHN region.
