SPEAKERS:

Ainslie Conway is a Registered Nurse and Endorsed Benchmarque Group Facilitator. She is a Nursing Advisor in a community nursing patient support program and has post graduate qualification in Advising on Chronic Disease and Training and Assessing

TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs, Practice Nurses, GP Registrars, Allied Health Professionals and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and practitioners

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

The Foot Health Assessment Program is designed to provide skills and knowledge for a range of health professionals as well as those working within Indigenous Health to provide details information and advise in relation to foot health management.

On the successful completion of the program, participants should have the ability to safely perform a basic foot care assessment, determine foot care requirements and use basic equipment and a range of topical medications where the services of a professional’s podiatrist are not required.

The program is evidence based and the techniques taught are designed to promote the best practice outcomes for patient care.

This program has been designed to provide the student with the opportunity to gain or consolidate knowledge and skills in basic foot care assessment management and referral.

COST:
There is no cost for health professionals working within the SNPHN region
