Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites local GPs, Practice Managers and Practice Nurses to attend a Practice Leadership Advantage Course which will focus on a foundation of quality improvement, change management principals and team building.  Take this opportunity to work on your business, learn to lead for change and feel the positive benefits for you, your practice and your community.

Dr Chris Bollen, MBBS, FRACGP, MBA, Diploma Practice Management 

Chris is director of BMP Healthcare Consulting, a company with a focus on supporting the improvement of general practice quality and sustainability.

Chris works part time as a GP in Adelaide with an interest in older people, team based care and doctor’s health.

Rod has a background in marketing and advertising where the customer is everything. He brings his experiences to the business of healthcare and helps leaders think differently about engagement of their patients/customers and the importance of delivering patient centred care approaches.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs, Practice Nurse’s, Practice Manager’s

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Identify and understand the six key demands of leadership and to recognise personal gaps requiring improvement
  • Recognise the importance of “knowing your numbers” across the whole general practice in order to lead change
  • Implement data driven improvements for chronic condition care in general practice
  • Explain the role of leadership in developing and achieving your practice vision
  • Reflect on the practice systems which can reduce healthcare provider/team burnout and improve work day satisfaction
  • Develop a practice plan for change incorporating the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)’s “quadruple aim” to improve quality of care, improve patient experience, reduce costs and reduce health care provider burnout
COST:
No cost for GPs and practice staff practising within the SNHN region.
