Basic Life Support – CPR training (face to face)

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites local GPs, Practice Nurses, general Practice staff, Allied Health Professionals and Pharmacists to a Basic Life Support (CPR) course designed for all practice team and all primary care settings.  The evening will include DRSABCD, managing an unconscious casualty, recognising the need to undertake CPR, theory and practical CPR and operation of an Automatic external defibrillator (AED).

SNHN Basic Life Support trainers hold a current and valid BLS trainer certificate and are creditialed to deliver BLS training standard RTO standard HLTAID001.

SPEAKERS:

Simon Gould – Assoc. Degree in Voc. Ed. and Training, Dip. Paramedical Science – Pre-Hospital Care, Cert. IV in Training and Assessment (TAE), RACGP EAR, Nationally Accredited Instructor/Examiner.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs, Practice Nurses, general practice staff, Allied Health Professionals

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Systematically and effectively identify and manage hazards prior to applying CPR to the cardiac
  • arrest patient in the general practice setting
  • Safely manage the airway of an unconscious patient using barrier devices and techniques set out in the ARC guidelines
  • Safely apply CPR procedures including the delivery of effective ventilations and compressions
COST:
$70 p.p. (plus GST) for members CPR Training is open to GPs, Practice Nurses, General Practice staff, allied health professional and pharmacists who are SNHN members.
