Youth Health Services

Youth is generally defined by young people aged between 12–24 years-of-aged and comprise approximately 18.1 percent of New South Wales population. Young people experience a time of great transition through self-identity, puberty, relationships, education, housing and employment as they become more independent within their life. Throughout this transition young people will engage in increasingly high risk taking behaviour, such as unprotected sex and substance misuse that can lead to the possibility of harm. There are a variety of youth-specific services that operate throughout the Northern Sydney region including peak bodies that can provide more information on youth health.

For guidance or more information please speak to your GP or a Health Professional.
