A tribute to Dr Harry Nespolon

The Sydney North Health Network Board, Staff and Community wish to pay tribute to Dr Harry Nespolon, who lost his fight against pancreatic cancer.

Harry was a local northern Sydney General Practitioner, an inaugural member and former Chair of the Sydney North Health Network Board, Board member of Northern Sydney Local Health District, and current President of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). Most recently Harry worked with Sydney North Health Network and the Australian Department of Health during the COVID pandemic to establish one of the three GP-led respiratory clinics operating in northern Sydney.

Harry achieved an extraordinary amount in such a short time, including a long list of qualifications in the fields of medicine, business, and law.

Never one to shy away, he will be remembered for his tireless and strong advocacy for the GP profession, working continually to advance the position of primary health care as the cornerstone of Australia’s health system and within our northern Sydney operating region. As a mover and shaker, Harry’s vision, leadership and insights have been greatly valued by us and he will be missed by the Board and staff at SNHN.

Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

Vale Dr Harry Nespolon
