SPEAKERS:
  • Dr John Fahey PhD – Managing Director and Cynergex Group Trainer
    John has 37 years’ experience in emergency medicine and pre-hospital care. John’s capacity as a leader in pre-hospital emergency care, contingency planning and workplace health and safety stem from his lifelong career of academic research combined with hands on experience and employment in both the Australian Army and Government service departments.
TARGET AUDIENCE:

GPs & Primary Care Nurses

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Identify the most common medical emergencies affecting patients, using a risk management approach
  • Manage the immediate care of medical emergencies utilizing a practice management (crew resource management) system
  • Apply techniques and protocols consistent with current emergency medical guidelines for pre-hospital care
  • Refer the patient to further appropriate care.
COST:
No cost for GPs and Primary Care Nurses practising within the SNPHN region
