The Sydney North Clinical Council assists the Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) to develop local strategies to improve the operation of the health care system for people in the Sydney North region.
The Clinical Council provides guidance to the SNPHN Board on clinical issues relevant to Primary Care to:

  • Support local primary care providers to improve peoples’ outcomes and experience with the health care system
  • Evaluate and identify inefficiencies and optimise the use of existing services and resources
  • Purchase or co-commission new services and propose strategies for redesign or reinvestment

A number of positions within the Council are currently vacant and we are seeking expressions of interest from a range of local clinicians to join.

Selection Criteria: 

Practice or work within the SNPHN region.

Experience working within one or more of the following professions:

  • General practice
  • Allied health
  • Pharmacy
  • Mental Health
  • Primary Care Nursing
  • Aboriginal Health
  • Private hospitals

EOI application and appointment process: 

SNPHN Clinical Council meets bi-monthly for approximately two hours per meeting and members are paid for their time. Frequency of meetings are reviewed annually. EOI applications will be considered by the Board of Directors.
