After Hours Stakeholder Network – Update on My Health Record

From mid-2018 the automatic creation of My Health Record for every Australian will begin. Sydney North Primary Health Network (SNPHN) invites local GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals to the After Hours Stakeholder Network on Digital Health. This event will help to update you on latest developments on the My Health Record including the benefits of using My Health Record both from a GPs perspective, the practice and the patient and how this has helped improve patient care and health outcomes. The evening will include a Q&A session.

SPEAKERS:
  • Dr Hans Blom, General Practitioner. Dr Blom is a GP practicing on the northern beaches and has a strong background in digital health.
  • Helen Purdy, National PHN Support Coordinator, Australian Digital Health Agency
    Helen has over 10 years’ experience facilitating the adoption of digital health technologies within the public health sector. This has included application specialist roles supporting the deployment of hospital-based eMRs, promoting the implementation of digital health technologies across the primary care setting and applying these technologies to achieve greater integration between the primary and acute care sectors

GPs, Primary Care Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Summarise the Australian’s current health landscape, the National Digital Health Strategy and the My Health Record Expansion program
  • Identify the benefits of the My Health Record system for patients and healthcare providers
  • Demonstrate key new features of the record including the Results and Medication views
  • Highlight key privacy legislation and security features underpinning the My Health Record system key privacy
COST:
No cost for GPs and health professionals practicing within the SNPHN region
